How about some good news as we approach the New Year? Let’s spend a few minutes focused on resiliency, innovation and opportunity. This is where we need to shift our focus for 2024.

Our market dynamics are ever-changing. As a national provider of drayage services, terminal operations and inland solutions, we must move beyond the transactional and downward spiraling of rates to find more valuable discussions with our customers. Deeper discussions include sharing of resources and new ideas in search of a better and more efficient way to serve each other.

How do we share our knowledge and our team’s creative thinking to truly collaborate in search of efficiency and shared growth? With the building of new ideas, we add the strength of our shared assets. For example, some customers’ biggest needs are to have equipment on hand and the space to flex up or down daily. We can help address these ongoing challenges caused by vessel capacity retraction in the marketplace as we see shippers scramble to meet rolled bookings, ever-changing ERDs and port calls.

What about the value of speed? It’s here that we rethink technology. We developed driver apps that allow us to give customers and our drivers the ability to move freight with 24/7 visibility. We developed optimizers that allow us to avoid wasteful mileage and costs. It’s this data we want to share.

What visibility do your customers need, and what do you already have that you can build upon with them? The outcome is a shared win and growth. We are committed to reinvesting in our infrastructure with new trucks and new terminals across the US in 2024 and seek collaboration with our customers and partners in a continued commitment to serve this industry.
