At the Port of New York and New Jersey, we've been taking in higher container volumes now that our bridge elevation projects are completed. We expect this pattern of strong growth to continue into 2019.

We're still experiencing some "growing pains" as several of our marine terminals work to complete their site expansions to keep pace with the increased demand. We anticipate these improvement projects to wrap up in the year ahead, along with long-awaited technology upgrades, which should result in greater efficiency for all stakeholders.

Conducting business amid a construction zone can be challenging, particularly for our drivers, so we'll continue to focus on working with the terminals to reduce turn times, maintain strong communication, and extend gate hours as needed to expedite the efficient flow of commerce in the region.
