I see 2023 as the great reset.
We will dust off business rules thrown by the wayside during the pandemic and be more strategic in our volume awards. We will evaluate which relationships created game-changer scenarios and which ones simply saved our skins. We will coordinate cargo ready dates with factory partners to meet specific sailing schedules to reduce our overall lead time and hope IPI transits stabilize.
We all are anxious about the economy and what that holds for inventory levels.
Meanwhile, carriers are looking back at door moves and other integrated logistics services, while they need to be thinking inside the box of what they do control and how to improve those services.
