AfA applauds Senate confirmation of new TSA administrator
WASHINGTON - The Airforwarders Association, which represents more than 360 companies that move air cargo through the supply chain, today welcomed the confirmation of U.S. Coast Guard Vice Admiral Peter Neffenger to be the new administrator of the Transportation Security Administration.
"We were impressed with Vice Admiral Neffenger during his confirmation hearings and believe that he will bring much needed management experience and leadership to the TSA," said Brandon Fried, the AfA's Executive Director, who noted the critical role that TSA plays in assuring the safe, secure and efficient movement of air cargo.
"We appreciate the Senate's swift confirmation of Vice Admiral Neffenger and look forward to working with him on cargo security initiatives," added Fried.
