American Airlines Cargo Recognized for Pursuit of Excellence in the Air Express Industry
FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines Cargo Division (AA Cargo) today announced it has been recognized by the Express Delivery and Logistics Association (XLA) for successful implementation of upgrades in service, communication, technology and on-time performance. The recognition is based on a survey of members who use the services for express deliveries around the world. American was identified as the carrier with the most improvements in these categories for the second consecutive year. The award was presented at the AirCargo 2011 Conference in San Diego.
“We’re honored to receive this award,” said AA Cargo President Dave Brooks. “Our customers have extremely high standards of service, and we remain committed to continually seeking new ways to exceed the expectations of the air cargo industry throughout our global network.”
In addition to acknowledging AA Cargo’s performance and systems growth, the award “further recognizes the zeal of the recipient of the award in striving to continually pursue excellence on behalf of their customers in the air express industry,” according to the Express Delivery and Logistics Association.
AirCargo 2011 is the premier annual trade show and conference for the Air and Expedited Motor Carriers Association (AEMCA), the Airforwarders Association (AfA) and the Express Delivery and Logistics Association.
