Busan Port Authority Welcomes New President

July 25th 2012, Busan, South Korea - The Busan Port Authority announced that Mr. LIM, Ki-tack has succeeded previous BPA president Mr ROH, Ki-tae, at the end of Mr. ROH’s four-year tenure as from July 17th 2012.

Mr. LIM, Ki-tack was the former Korean Maritime Safety Tribunal Commissioner and has thirty years experience in the domestic and international maritime and shipping industry. He has also held the position of Chairman of the FSI Sub-Committee of the IMO and served for six years as a diplomat at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the UK.

In a ceremony held last week, Mr. LIM said; “I very much look forward to contributing to enhancing international shipping and port business by collaborating with our partners worldwide. I aim to develop Busan Port’s role as a transshipment hub of the Northeast Asian region through global planning and strategic vision.”
