Caribbean Shipowners Association U.S. Security Increase

The Members of the Caribbean Shipowners Association have adopted a voluntary guideline calling for an increase in the U.S. Security Charges due to security measures implemented throughout the Caribbean over the last several years.

This increase will be effective Sunday, May 4, 2014 and will be in addition to the members’ present tariff charge.

Amount of Increase

20 foot container: $35.00

40 foot container: 70.00

Over 40 feet: 79.00

Vehicles up to 700 cft: 31.00

Vehicles exceeding 700 cft: 1.65 w/m (40 cft or 2,000 lbs)

Breakbulk, LCL: 1.65 w/m (40 cft or 2,000 lbs)

LCL (1 cft): .04/cft

LCL (100 lbs): .08/cwt

This increase is applicable between U.S. ports and the following Caribbean ports under the scope of the Caribbean Shipowners Association.
