CEVA announces expanded market presence in Panama City, Panama

Panama City, Panama, 19 February, 2014 – CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading supply chain management companies, today announced that it is expanding its Panama City operation to one of the newest, largest logistic parks in Panama this month. The new warehouse has 4,400 sq m of space with capacity for 7,000 pallet positions, 10 meters of free height and is strategically located just five minutes from Panama Tocumen International Airport, with quick access to the country’s major highways.

Located at Parque Sur Industrial Park on Domingo Diaz Ave., Tocumen, the new facility is a multi customer site which will manage the logistics needs of a number of global brands, with room to expand. Additionally, the new facility triples the number of dock doors available to its Freight Management operation, including Air and Ocean transportation as well as trucking and domestic cross dock activities. All dock doors have electric ramps which can be adjusted to accommodate a truck’s floor level, saving time on the loading dock. Additionally the facility features a heavy-duty racking system for increased load capacity.

CEVA serves Panama City and the surrounding area from this location, providing services including warehousing and distribution. CEVA has two other operations in Panama, one at Tocumen airport cargo terminal and the other one located within the Colon Free Trade Zone. All CEVA facilities utilize CEVA’s industry leading CEVA Matrix® Warehouse Management System (WMS) to help customers manage their inventory more cost effectively and in real time, using the system’s 24/7 online reporting system.
