Chinese lithium-ion battery refinery overcomes logistics barriers and starts global alliance

Taisen Recycling, the maker of Lithium Carbonate, Cobalt, and Nickel, leading of lithium-ion battery recycling, has announced that they are expanding its facilities.

Shenzhen, Guangdong – Taisen Recycling, the maker of Lithium Carbonate, Cobalt, and Nickel, leading of lithium-ion battery recycling, has announced that they are expanding its facilities. That brings Taisen Recycling’s facilities to more than 100 acres, and this means the company will now be able to handle 37,200 Tonnes scrap Li-ion batteries. That brings production capacity to 6,200 tonnes LCE that will enable the company to supply the Lithium-ion battery manufacturers such as Samsung SDI, LG Chem, BYD, Huawei, and many others at the most competitive global prices.

“We have invested in new facilities and battery collection capacity in overseas. These investments will allow Taisen to build a sustainable and eco-friendly lithium-ion battery supply chain in the coming years to carry out our business plan. After the change of the importation laws in 2017 we have changed our logistic strategic point to South Korea to supply companies from overseas. After overcoming the logistic barrier through a Joint Venture in South Korea we now are able to supply new markets in Asia, Europe, Canada, South America and the United States" said Mr. Jayden Goh, Chief Executive Officer.

Taisen is involved in Battery Recycling since 2014. It is known for such products as Lithium Carbonate, Cobalt Sulfate, and Nickel Sulfate made at adjustable grades for any model of Li-ion battery. “Taisen Recycling is the choice for recovery of critical raw materials used by the battery industry. What represents the best solution to avoid the environmental impacts of mining. We are definitely on our way to achieve the global Lithium-ion battery market,” added Mr. Yi, Chairman of the Company. The company has recently indicated plans to increase its market share overseas and has started the partnership with companies interested in import battery raw materials and export waste scrap batteries.
