CII Opens Full Service Cargo Facility in Chicago
CHICAGO, OCTOBER 13: Consolidators International (CII) is continuing its program of planned, targeted growth with the opening of a full service cargo facility in Chicago. The new terminal offers air, sea and surface transportation to shippers throughout America's Heartland.
CII is responding to demands by shippers in the upper Midwest who are demanding expert, competitively priced and highly personalized cargo services both to domestic and international destinations, stated Jesse Maugle, Vice President Ocean Freight and General Manager of the new Chicago facility.
The CII terminal, located in the Chicago suburb of Wood Dale, is just minutes away from O'Hare Airport. It also is convenient to Chicago's extensive system of truck and rail depots. The new facility will act as a key distribution and processing center for shippers throughout the upper Midwest for their air and ocean freight.
For ocean trade, CII will handle both container traffic and heavyweight freight known as breakbulk cargo. Shipments by air will encompass all weight breaks.
Our just opened office offers an entire range of CII's logistic capabilities into and out of Chicago. The CII terminal is equipped to handle every important type of freight including hi-tech equipment and components, aerospace material, automotive parts and supplies, fashion and home furnishings, medical and pharmaceutical products, asserted Manager Maugle.
The VP-Ocean Freight & Manaager at the Chicago facility has some ten years experience in ocean and air transportation. Australian by birth, Jesse was born into the cargo business with his father the long time head of Airborne Freight in Australia.
The Chicago facility is the latest addition to CII's growing network of company owned and operated terminals in key locations within the U.S.. A few months ago, a Houston office was opened. Expansion of its existing office in Atlanta and JFK in the U.S. and Auckland, New Zealand is in the works.
Now almost twenty years old, Consolidators International has traveled a great distance since its founder and CEO, Julian Keeling, opened CII in a single room with two employees near Los Angeles International Airport.
