Congressman Rothman Announces $64,695,620 in Emergency Relief Funding for Roadway Repair from Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee Damage
Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Steve Rothman (NJ-9), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, released the following statement:
I am pleased to announce the U.S. Department of Transportation Emergency Relief program grant of $64,695,620 to the State of New Jersey for the repair or reconstruction of highways and roads that have suffered serious damage as a result of Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Every federal dollar that is brought back for emergency relief is one less dollar that the already overburdened local taxpayers have to take out of their pocket.
