Da Chan Bay Receives Calls of Transpacific Services by the Grand Alliance and ZIM Intra‐Asia Services by OOCL
Da Chan Bay Terminal One announced today: the terminal will receive two Transpacific services
in early‐September 2012 and two Intra‐Asia services in end‐August and early‐September
respectively.
Transpacific services will include the Super Shuttle Express (SSX) and the Pacific North West
Express (PNX). The SSX service is operated by the Grand Alliance (members Hapag‐Lloyd, NYK
and OOCL). The PNX service is jointly operated by the Grand Alliance together with ZIM.
Intra‐Asia services will include Haiphong Feeder Service 2 (HPH2) and Philippines Feeder 2
(PHF2) which are operated by OOCL.

The SSX service provides weekly calls at Da Chan Bay, deploying 6 ships with an average
capacity of 8,000 TEUs each. The service follows a port rotation of Xiamen ‐ Yantian ‐ Da Chan
Bay ‐ Hong Kong (MTL) ‐ Kaohsiung ‐ Long Beach.
The PNX service provides weekly calls at Da Chan Bay, deploying 7 ships with an average
capacity of 7,500‐8,500 TEUs each. The service follows a port rotation: (Eastbound) Singapore ‐
Laem Chabang ‐ Da Chan Bay ‐ Hong Kong (MTL) ‐ Kaohsiung ‐ Vancouver – Tacoma;
(Westbound) Vancouver – Tacoma ‐ Busan ‐ Kaohsiung ‐ Hong Kong (MTL) ‐ Da Chan Bay –
Singapore – Laem Chabang.
Port rotation for the HPH2 weekly service is: Haiphong ‐ Fangcheng ‐ Da Chan Bay – Hong Kong
(MTL) ‐ Haiphong. It will deploy a ship with nominal capacity of 1,000 TEUs.
Port rotation for the PHF2 weekly service is: Hong Kong (MTL) ‐ Da Chan Bay – Manila South ‐
Manila North ‐ Hong Kong (MTL). It will deploy a ship with nominal capacity of 2,700 TEUs.
