Damco appoints new Chief Commercial Officer in the Middle-East

Madison, NJ, June 28, 2010 – Damco, the combined brand of the A.P. Moller - Maersk logistics activities, is pleased to announce the hiring of Wade Thompson as the new Chief Commercial Officer for the Middle East region.

Wade, an Australian national, brings with him a 15 year career in freight, logistics, and supply chain management including vast knowledge and expertise in business development, logistics operations and supply chain planning.

With nine years of logistics experience in the Middle East, Wade joins Damco from Ceva Logistics, most recently holding the position of Director, Contract Logistics and Sales.

As the 2009 recipient of the LOG Magazine (MENA) ‘Logistics Innovator of the Year’ award, Wade has provided evidence of his desire to continually seek professional and personal challenges. Wade received the Award for 'Innovation in Retail Consumer Contract Logistics': ‘Devising and implementing a new automated solution for delivering greater efficiencies for 'goods on hangers'.
