Damco expands chemical logistics sector in Asia with new appointment
Madison, NJ, August 23, 2010 – Damco, one of the world’s leading 3PLs, has announced the appointment of Goetz von Dresky as its Head of Chemical Logistics in Asia.
In this newly-created regional role, von Dresky will be responsible for product development and expanding Damco’s chemical business in Asia. Based in Singapore, he reports to Katherine Boesen, Chief Commercial Officer for Damco in Asia Pacific.

Given Goetz’ vast experience in chemical logistics and understanding of the Asian markets, I am confident that he will successfully drive Damco’s chemical business in Asia,” says Boesen.
One of the focus areas for von Dresky will be addressing the issue of supply chain visibility, which he says is a key challenge for many chemical companies.

Prior to this appointment, von Dresky served as Head of Commercial for Damco in Singapore and Malaysia. He has been based in Asia since 1998, when he was with Suttons International, a UK-based logistics group, specializing in customized logistics solutions for the chemical industry. As General Manager for its South East Asia operations, von Dresky was responsible for implementing complex and integrated solutions for difficult products such as temperature-controlled hazardous chemicals
