Improving Safety and Realizing Benefits of New Technology Key Reasons for the Upgrade

SAN DIEGO and LAFAYETTE, La - Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading provider of business-to-business wireless enterprise applications and services, and Dupré Logistics today announced that Dupré has chosen the Mobile Computing Platform 100 Series (MCP100) for its entire fleet. Dupré cited its commitment to improving safety and reaping the benefits of new technology as key reasons for the upgrade to the MCP100 and Qualcomm Transportation Services.

Dupré’s upgrade from Qualcomm’s FleetAdvisor® fleet management system to MCP100 will provide significant benefits. Dupré will use Hours of Service, Critical Event Recording, Performance Monitoring and the Circle of Service Workflow services to improve its operations, efficiency and back office integration. Dupré beta tested the Circle of Service Workflow application for Qualcomm and will be one of the first carriers in the industry to begin using the service. The service supports customizing the driver’s work plan and data capture activities throughout the day. The MCP100’s text-to-speech capability and in-motion user interface represent additional safety features attractive to Dupré.

Dupre began installing Qualcomm’s OmniTRACS® mobile information system in its fleet in August of 2002 and adopted Qualcomm’s FleetAdvisor applications for their entire fleet in the Summer of 2007.

“As a part of our commitment to ‘Always Forward Thinking’, Dupré’s move to Qualcomm Transportation Services and MCP100 will allow us to move to a more robust and cost-effective technology,” said Tom Voelkel, president of Dupré Logistics. “For example, moving from FleetAdvisor logs to Qualcomm’s Hours of Service will allow us to move to an Internet-based model. This will allow us to retire our FleetAdvisor application servers, which is another tactic in support of Dupre’s Green Strategy. The MCP100 also enables us to run more customized applications in the truck and to connect devices such as printers, barcode readers and handheld computers. This will allow us more efficient capture of delivery signatures and other information.”

“Qualcomm and Dupré Logistics enjoy a very productive working relationship,” said Norm Ellis, vice president of sales, services and marketing for Qualcomm Enterprise Services. “We know Dupre is a leader in the use of technology to improve the efficiency of fleet operations, and Qualcomm is pleased to help contribute to their innovative operations strategies.”
