Flash Global Logistics Moves Into New Global Headquarters and New State-Of-The-Art Distribution Center
Pine Brook, NJ – March 1, 2012 — Flash Global Logistics (“FGL” or “Flash”), the leader in single source innovative global supply chain solutions for mission-critical parts and products, has announced that they have moved into a new state-of-the-art Global Headquarters to support their phenomenal growth.
Located outside of New York City in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, Flash’s new corporate headquarters is an 11,000 square foot hi-tech office space, housing their Executive offices, Operations and Global Command Center.
Their newly expanded Global Command Center is the central nerve center of Flash’s Global Operations, handling inbound calls, customer orders, Field Service Engineer (FSE) order processing, escalation management, specialized communication, backorder processing, dispatch and compliance documentation management. With an enhanced communications system, inbound requests will now be handled more efficiently, decreasing response time while increasing client satisfaction.
“In today’s world, technology drives speed, accuracy and scalability, and this new facility features the latest networking and communications platforms that will deliver the solutions that our clients demand, says President and CEO Jim Van Leenen. “Technology gives us the ability to scale solutions for our clients and that continues to be our focus.”
The Command Center also houses the latest technology to monitor every detail of a client’s order in real-time, ensuring that Flash continues to exceed their 98% on-time performance. Another enhancement of the new Command Center is the implementation and use of a terminal server, which will provide the ability of Command Center Specialists to log into any workstation, improving system performance, functionality and efficiency of software updates.
In addition to their new Global Headquarters, Flash has also moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art Distribution Center (DC) in Parsippany, New Jersey, that encompasses 45,000 square feet of rentable and flexible warehouse space, to better serve their fast growing client list.
Van Leenen believes that clients and prospects have sent Flash a clear message, “Provide flexible Distribution Center space in all markets around the world. Set us up fast without fixed cost, and allow for quick expansion when we need it with little to no upfront costs.”
Flash has developed an extensive network of DC’s across the globe and guarantees the set up of a DC in less than 60 days in any major market in the world
Van Leenen continued, “Based on the growth that we experienced in 2011 and on our anticipated growth in the next 3 to 5 years, Flash has more than doubled the DC space in Sao Paulo, Hayward, Chicago, New Jersey, Amsterdam, Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo in order to support the growth of our clients.”
The New Jersey distribution center is climate controlled, with three high dock doors, as well as a drive up ramp and is home to their on-site Flash Courier and Transportation Division (FCT).
In addition to distribution capabilities, the space is configurable to manage special value added services, including sub assembly, kitting, level-1 testing, reverse logistics and specialized processes’ including testing and repair.
