FreightCar America, Inc. Announces Appointment of Terrence G. Heidkamp as Senior Vice President, Operations

CHICAGO --(BUSINESS WIRE)-- FreightCar America, Inc. (NASDAQ:RAIL - News) announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Terrence (Terry) G. Heidkamp as Senior Vice President, Operations, effective on October 3, 2011. In joining FreightCar America, Mr. Heidkamp will serve as a key member of the leadership team, playing a significant role in shaping the strategic direction of the Company as well as overseeing the operational performance of FreightCar America. He will be based at the Company’s Chicago, Illinois headquarters.

Mr. Heidkamp is a rail industry veteran, with over 25 years’ experience. He joins the Company from GATX Corporation, where he spent 21 years serving in key leadership roles, including Vice President of Operations for GATX’s rail leasing business and Vice President of Government Affairs and Regulatory Compliance. Earlier in his career, Mr. Heidkamp served in financial leadership roles with Pullman Leasing Company.
