Globe Tracker and SensorClip Announce Partnership

Hamburg, Germany, October 9, 2013 - Globe Tracker International (GTI), a leader in global trade data sharing, autonomous asset tracking and monitoring, and related data analytics announced today its partnership with SensorClip ApS, a supplier of a new and sophisticated class of power alarm products for the mobile refrigerated industry. The companies will deliver seamlessly integrated wireless tracking, power condition monitoring, and remote management of refrigerated containers (reefers) and generators (gensets) for intermodal transportation world-wide.

SensorClip has developed a mobile, wireless battery-operated power alarm solution for tracking the normal operation of refrigeration and other products whose failure can result in expensive losses. This solution is extensible to collect and report a variety of additional sensor data such as, temperature and humidity, and communicate that with and without alarms to a host server.

SensorClip’s unit will be integrated into GTI’s Smart Autonomous Asset Solution, in particular the GTI Networks, to allow monitoring of power conditions and integrate that information into the rest of the GTI tracking and monitoring data. This capability will bring wireless tracking and monitoring of power assets to improve cold chain efficiency and cost of operation.

The SensorClip product has received accolades for its combination of technical innovation, functionality, ease of use, and cost of ownership. The company plans, with partnerships such as with GTI, to present this solution into new markets.

With its Smart Autonomous Asset Solution, GTI is changing the way the supply chain thinks about asset tracking, management, and monitoring on land and sea. Its solution is a suite of asset visibility devices and networks and is now commercially available. The suite includes GTI’s Trade Data Exchange Network (TDEN), Smart Autonomous Asset Network (SAAN), and Globe Tracker Communications Unit. Together, they deliver the most functional, reliable and cost effective global tracking, monitoring and trade data sharing solution in the industry.

“Power interruptions to reefers during intermodal transit and interim periods result in expensive losses which are almost always preventable. We are delighted to be working with Globe Tracker to advance the visibility and prevention of power problems and help customers manage their power providing and power consuming assets efficiently,” said Lasse Øst Petersen, CEO of SensorClip.

“The combination of SensorClip’s elegant product and our groundbreaking Smart Autonomous Asset Solution brings our customers unprecedented convenience and visibility in tracking power continuity to reefers and their sensitive, high value cargo anywhere in the world,” said Jim Davis, Globe Tracker Founder and CEO.
