Interroll's Heavy-Duty American Style Curve Meets Parcel and Airport Baggage
Jeffersonville, Indiana (May 24, 2010) -- Providing an economical, rugged
conveying solution for handling parcels as well as airline baggage,
Interroll's new American Style Curve is the physical realization of the
mechanical specifications laid out by the nation's major parcel carriers and
airport consultants. Based on proven technology, the robust American Style
Curve features a dependable, positive chain drive that eliminates the chance
of belt slippage common to friction driven curves.
The development of the ultra-reliable American Style Curve gives our
customers several conveying options. The new curve allows Interroll to
offer a curve with moderate noise emissions and high load capacity at speeds
to meet most parcel and airline baggage handling applications. For
applications that demand higher speeds and nearly silent operation,
Interroll still has the option of supplying our signature high-speed
European Style Curve. Either product provides our customers with a quiet,
smooth and efficient solution that will greatly lower the cost of ownership
over time, said Michael W. Brown, industry and marketing director at
Interroll Automation.
The positive-drive American Style Curve enables conveying speeds up to
350fpm and load bearing capacity of 50 pounds per linear foot. Noise
emission levels of less than 71dBA can be expected during operation.
The American Style Curve features a removable unitized steel slider bed
cassette, as well as a Clipper® brand non-unibar laced belt connection. In
addition, customers can select the belting and power unit that best meets
their requirements.
