John Hextall named North America President

Schindellegi, Switzerland / Jersey City, NJ., USA, October 06, 2010 - As of October 1, 2010, Kuehne + Nagel has appointed John Hextall as President of its North America Region. Hextall succeeds Rolf Altorfer, who steps down at his own request, and who will continue to serve Kuehne + Nagel in several key strategic project roles.

He joins Kuehne + Nagel after 17 years with UTi Worldwide Inc., most recently as Executive Vice President and President, Freight Forwarding, from 2008 to January 2010. While at UTi, he held various executive positions with responsibility for Asia Pacific, Greater China, Europe, Middle East, North Africa and the Americas regions. He holds a Bachelor of Science Combined Honors degree in transport planning and operations from Aston University, Birmingham, U.K.
