Kenco Promotes Jeff Burns to President, Kenco Material Handling Solutions
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—September 18, 2012 (James Street Media Services)—Kenco, a leading provider of distribution and fulfillment, transportation services and intelligent information technology, announces the executive promotion of Jeff Burns to president, Kenco Material Handling Solutions, LLC (KMHS).
“Jeff has provided insightful strategic leadership for KMHS during the past two years as its vice president,” says Andy Smith, COO. “This promotion is well deserved and assures the continued success of KMHS in meeting customer needs. Jeff has also led the development of Kenco Fleet Services for our customers who require more robust lift truck fleet management.”
Burns has been with Kenco nearly 10 years, starting as a senior logistics engineer. He was promoted to general manager of the company’s Maytag Distribution Center in 2003, and he joined KMHS as northeast regional manager in 2005. Prior to joining Kenco, Burns held positions with Advance Vehicle Systems and Heil Trailer International. He holds a BS in Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.
