Lisa Stabler is TTCI’s New President Semih Kalay promoted to Senior VP
Pueblo, Colo. Lisa Stabler, who was TTCI’s Vice President of Operations and Training, is now TTCI’s president. She succeeds Roy A. Allen.
“Roy leaves behind big shoes to fill,” said Stabler. “With the tremendous synergy he has created at TTCI, my goal is to capitalize on his accomplishments and to continue the technical advancement of moving freight and people in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.”
“Lisa’s strong background in advancing new technologies makes her well equipped to lead the railroad industry’s cutting edge research and development efforts into the future,” said AAR President and CEO Edward R. Hamberger.
Stabler holds a Master in Science Degree in Mathematics from Wright State University and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Dayton. She is certified by American Society for Quality as a Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, Reliability Engineer, and Six Sigma Black Belt.
“One immediate change leading into my new position at TTCI is Semih Kalay’s promotion to Senior Vice President in charge of our Communication and Train Control business unit,” said Stabler.
“Under Semih’s direction, TTCI will continue to help railroads comply with the Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008, which mandates PTC implementation across most of the nation’s rail lines by the end of 2015,” she added.
Kalay, who has a Master’s degree from Tennessee Tech University, will continue his successful management of the AAR’s Strategic Research Initiatives Program and provide support for AAR’s technical standard and inspection program.
“Semih has brought strong leadership on the industry’s many rail technology committees,” said Hamberger. “I am sure he will continue to be a great champion for progress and innovation in the future.”
