Lufthansa Cargo again named Best Air Cargo Carrier in Europe

Lufthansa Cargo has been voted the top European cargo carrier in Asia, the world’s most important airfreight market, by the influential logistics magazine Cargonews Asia. The company accepted the “Best Air Cargo Carrier Europe” gong yesterday at the 24th Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCAs) in Shanghai. Lufthansa Cargo outperformed its closest rivals Air France-KLM Cargo and Cargolux to secure the top ranking for the fourth year in succession. Within a matter of just a few weeks, Lufthansa’s logistics subsidiary has thus been named the leading European cargo carrier on two continents. Only last month, Lufthansa Cargo was named “Best European Cargo Airline” at the Cargo Airline of the Year Awards in London. “Readers of Cargonews Asia are also the customers of transport service providers such as Lufthansa Cargo, so when they vote in a winner, it is because they are intimately familiar with that company’s services,” said Greg Knowler, Editor and Publisher of Cargonews Asia. “The fact that Lufthansa Cargo has now held the title of Best Air Cargo Carrier Europe for four years means its customers, and our readers, appreciate the carrier’s efficiency and commitment.” Helge Krüger-Lorenzen, Lufthansa Cargo’s Vice President Asia-Pacific, stressed that winning this latest accolade would also provide motivation for the future. “The award underscores the strong position that Lufthansa Cargo holds in Asia. We are delighted by the gratitude and recognition shown to us by our customers and we will continue to invest in our product. Following the introduction of our new service to Tianjin in China this week, we can now provide an even denser freighter network to Europe.” Lufthansa Cargo AG Lufthansa Cargo ranks among the world’s leading cargo carriers.
