Many new cargo opportunities in the Air France-KLM Cargo & Martinair Cargo Summer Schedule
New opportunities will be offered thanks to a new service to Phnom Penh (PNH), Cambodia, via Bangkok (BKK), Thailand, from Paris-CDG as per March 28, operated with a B777-200 ER. Eastbound flights will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Returns being positioned on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays.
Xiamen (XMN), China, is a new destination adding to our strong network to China. A three weekly flight will operate from Amsterdam-Schiphol to Xiamen featuring the B777-200 ER as from March 27. Operating days will be Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Return westbound flights will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
As from June 7, 2011 AF-KL Cargo will offer a new service to Orlando (MCO) Florida, USA. It will be operated with a B777-300 ER flying 3 times per week from Paris-CDG, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Returns being on the same day.
AF-KL Cargo out of Amsterdam-SPL will reinstate, as from March 21, a flight to Miami (MIA) Florida, USA, operating a MD-11, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Return flights will take place the same days. This new AMS-Miami service is in addition to the 8 weekly Martinair AMS-MIA freighter flights and the CDG-MIA service.
Lima (LIM), Peru, will welcome a new non-stop AF flight, 5 times a week, featuring the B777-200 ER. As from June 21, it will fly from Paris-CDG to Lima on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The return flights will operate on the same days. This new service comes in addition to the daily AMS-LIM service, bringing the frequencies from 7 to 12 per week.
Freetown (FNA), Sierra Leone, will be a new African destination on our network - operated from Paris-CDG via Conakry (CKY) - twice a week with the A330-200. It operates on Tuesdays and Sundays, return flights being the same days.
Monrovia (ROB), Liberia, will also benefit of our services, out of Paris-CDG - via CKY - 2 times per week operating the A330-200, on Wednesdays and Fridays. Return flights scheduled the same days.
Reinforcing presence to existing destinations
Schedules from Paris-CDG:
• Nouakchott (NKC), Mauritania, will benefit of 3 weekly A330 flights, instead of 5 weekly A319 flights, thus featuring a strong cargo capacity increase.
• Antananarivo (TNR), Madagascar, will be flown once more per week (A340).
• La Réunion (RUN), France-DOM, will feature 1 additional weekly flight during the summer period (B777).
• Pointe-à-Pitre (PTP) and Fort-de-France (FDF), France-DOM, will also see their service being reinforced during the summer period with one additional flight per week, thus bringing it to a twice daily service (B777).
• Los Angeles (LAX) will be flown 4 extra frequencies per week (B777).
• Atlanta (ATL) will see 7 extra frequencies per week going to double daily service (B777).
• Boston (BOS) will see 7 extra frequencies per week going to double daily service (B744 & A340).
• Montreal (YUL) will see 4 extra frequencies per week, including A380 services (B777 & B744 or A340).
• Shanghai (PVG) will benefit of extra capacity due more B777-300 ER frequencies.
• Seoul (SEL) will benefit of extra capacity due more B777-300 ER frequencies.
Schedules from Amsterdam-SPL:
• Toronto (YYZ), Canada, will benefit of an increase of its frequencies from 10 to 13 weekly, including 1 extra B747-400 Combi frequency.
• Chicago (ORD), USA will benefit of an increase of its B747-400 Combi frequencies from 5 to 7 weekly.
• Dallas (DFW), USA, will benefit of one additional frequency per week in Summer (B777).
• Chengdu (CTU), China, will benefit of an increased cargo capacity by the use of the B747-400 Combi replacing the B777-200 ER.
• Osaka (KIX), Japan, will also have more cargo opportunities, featuring the B777-300 ER.
• Seoul (SEL), Korea, will benefit of an increase of its B747-400 Combi frequencies from 6 to 7 weekly.
• Almaty (ALA), Kazakhstan, reinstating the 5th weekly frequency, brings this destination back to the pre-crisis level (A330).
• Nairobi (NBO), Kenya, will benefit of extra capacity with 3 times B747-400 Combi until June 13th.
Fleet renewal
Air France-KLM is permanently investing in the renewal and upgrading of its fleet, hence contributing to improve the service offered to its customers, in the same time as enhancing its commitment to respect the environment with cleaner aircraft.
Thus, Air France will feature 2 new A380’s this summer which will operate towards Washington D.C and Montreal on a daily basis.
KLM will introduce a 5th B777-300ER in its fleet.
