Maritime Industry Job Camp - Friday, September 18th
As we all know, our world economy and our maritime industry in particular are in a recession. For many, these are difficult times with a lot of folks out of work. Recently a group of maritime executives approached the West Gulf Maritime Association and asked if we would provide meeting space for a “Maritime Industry Job Camp”. We are pleased to announce a maritime-related Job Camp is scheduled at West Gulf Maritime on Friday, September 18th, 0900-1200. The WGMA is providing space for this as service to our industry. All job seekers or those companies with positions available are encouraged to attend. There will be no cost to participate.
Questions regarding the Job Camp should be referred to the volunteer Job Camp Coordinator Beverly Clarke, at beverlylclarke@gmail.com. If you are interested in speaking, assisting or attending as a job seeker, please contact Beverly Clarke. To help get the word out, feel free to pass this message on to any of your maritime colleagues. If you know someone that might be a good speaker referral please ask them to contact Beverly at the above email address. Beverly advises they are also looking for professional resume writers, interviewers, wardrobe consultants and the like. Bring a copy of your resume and personal business cards to the job camp.
The West Gulf Maritime Association is not endorsing any applicants and/or any positions that might be available. We are simply providing a meeting space. We are located at the below listed address. For a map/direction: Directions
