Menlo Announces Extension to Service Provision for Dana Holding Corporation

SAN MATEO, Calif., and AMSTERDAM ‹ Oct. 25, 2010 ‹ Menlo Worldwide Logistics, LLC, a subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), announced today that it has expanded its services with Dana Holding Corporation to provide logistics services to the company's 19 manufacturing plants in Europe. Menlo has been facilitating Dana's North American operations since early in 2008, providing 3PL services, covering both inbound and outbound transportation to sites in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In making the announcement, Tony Gunn, Menlo's managing director, Europe, commented, We are building on the productive relationship that we have enjoyed with Dana in North America over the last two years. At Menlo we aim to continually develop the services we offer our customers by increasing our knowledge of their operations and applying our skills to deliver to them incremental efficiencies. Our focus is constantly on our customer's peace of mind and we look forward to delivering this sense of security to Dana in Europe.

Menlo will roll-out an engineered program of optimization across Dana's European supply chains over the next three years. Managing carrier operations both inbound to Dana's 19 plants and all outbound product distribution to European destinations, Menlo will employ its established, process-driven formula. Supervised from its Œcontrol tower' facility in Eersel, Netherlands, the methodology includes shipment tracking and comprehensive visibility, carrier bookings control, cost auditing and relevant KPI monitoring.

Dana's Senior Global Logistics Manager Paul Wood, added, We believe this program with Menlo will add long-term value to Dana through leveraged spend, improved audit processes, clarity of data on a single system for the whole of Europe, and professional management of our transport providers. It will give us a process and set of tools to review our network design in a standardized and methodological way, and detailed spend visibility.
