Menlo Worldwide Logistics Names Leonard F. Berz Director of Business Development
SAN MATEO, Calif. - May 16, 2011 - Menlo Worldwide Logistics, the global logistics subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), today announced that Leonard “Lenny” F. Berz has been named director of business development.
In his new position, Berz will be based in the Southern California area and will be responsible for sales and customer relationship development in the consumer, retail and industrial products sectors.
A transportation industry veteran with nearly 20 years of sales experience, Berz joins Menlo from Americold Logistics, where he most recently was director of sales. There, he specialized in transportation solutions and sales management for regional, super-regional and national accounts. Over the course of his career, Berz has advanced through positions of increasing responsibility and leadership in sales and business development with APL Logistics, YRC Logistics, YRC Worldwide and Golden Eagle Express. He began his career at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, where he spent six years in customer service and as the manager for intermodal operations. Berz holds a master’s degree from Baker University.
