Menlo Worldwide Logistics Strengthens China Team
SHANGHAI, China ‹ May 10, 2010 ‹ Menlo Worldwide Logistics has announced the appointment of Leong Choong Cheng as their senior director of business development responsible for Greater China. An experienced industry professional, Leong will focus on engineering solutions, account management, sales and marketing.
“Leong’s expertise will strengthen Menlo China’s ability to deliver the innovative, best-in-class solutions for which we are known, even as our China business grows,” said Jess Goldberg, vice president, Greater China.
Leong, a Singaporean, brings more than 15 years’ experience in the logistics industry as well as experience in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. His combination of industry expertise with local knowledge enhances Menlo’s already proven ability to deliver operationally effective results at competitive prices. Leong was most recently vice president of business development for DTW Logistics in Beijing, prior to which he worked for Toll Logistics as managing director in Thailand and later, as general manager of business development in Shanghai. Earlier, he worked in Guangzhou for the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) Logistics as regional manager. Leong also co-founded Ecnet, a web-based supply chain management service provider for the high-tech industry, where he served as VP, business development.
Leong holds a degree in business administration from the National University of Singapore, a certificate in professional marketing from the Asia-Pacific Marketing Federation and an executive diploma in Asia-Pacific marketing from the Marketing Institute of Singapore.
