Mercury Air Group & Red Orange Launch "Final-Mile Peace of Mind" Service Into Afghanistan & Iraq

Los Angeles, CA (Sept. 16, 2009): Mercury Air Group, Inc. announced today a strategic alliance with Dubai-based Red Orange to provide “Final-Mile Peace of Mind” freight logistics services into Iraq and Afghanistan. The alliance combines the strengths of Mercury’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, Mercury Air Cargo and Maytag Aircraft Corporation with the proven delivery record of Red Orange into hostile regions in the Middle East and North Africa.

The freight logistics services utilize Mercury’s long standing relationships with numerous international airlines servicing the region as well as Mercury’s Air Cargo Carrier certification and Red Orange’s proven on the ground expertise in providing door to door logistics into and out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan as well as other Middle East and African nations.
