MSC Announces Upgrade of the Oceania Express Service

Commencing the 29th of December 2011, MSC will offer direct service to/from the ports of Oakland and Long Beach.
The new service, named Oceania Express Loop 1, will operate in conjunction with the previously announced direct service, named Oceania Express Loop 2, from Philadelphia and Savannah.

Oceania Express Loop 1 deploys seven (7) vessels with an average capacity of 2596 TEUs in partnership with existing direct services offered by Hamburg Sud, Maersk, Hapag Lloyd, ANL, USL, CMA CGM.

Oceania Express Loop 1 will be calling the following ports: OAKLAND – LONG BEACH – AUCKLAND – MELBOURNE – SYDNEY - TAURANGA – OAKLAND

In accordance with FMC regulations, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) will begin the Southbound service of the Oceania Express Loop 1 by calling Oakland on December 29th and Long Beach on January 1st 2012.

The additional enhancements to the Oceania Express Services will strengthen our valued customers access to key global markets.
