Navis Online Community Launches at TOC Europe

OAKLAND, Calif., Jun 12, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Navis, a part of Cargotec Corporation and the global technology standard for managing the movement of cargo through terminals, today announced that it has launched the Navis Online Community (NOC) during the TOC Container Supply Chain exhibition in Antwerp, June 12-14. The NOC will provide an online platform to host conversation and collaboration amongst Navis employees, partners, customers and the terminal community at large.

For more than 20 years, Navis has been dedicated to building technology that empowers terminals all over the world to effectively maximize operational performance and reduce risk, said Andy Barrons, chief marketing officer and vice president of Navis.   • On Tuesday, June 12 at 12:10pm, Navis' Guenter Schmidmeir, vice president of sales for EMEA will participate in a panel discussion on application software. This panel will explore the state of the industry around application software, including terminal operating systems, emulation and simulations, data collection and information management and business intelligence.
  • Navis SPARCS N4 is live at more than 50 sites worldwide, demonstrating continued customer desire to optimize operational processes, reduce costs and manage future growth.
  • The latest release of Navis SPARCS N4, 2.3, offers enhanced features and functionality, enabling terminals to move towards automation while improving productivity and efficiency.
