OHL Steps Up To Host Joe Nichols, Day Jobs Segment for Great American Country Network

JOC Staff |
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (Nov. 3, 2011) – OHL , a leading 3PL, today announced that it demonstrated some of its own logistical magic in agreeing to host a segment of the Great American Country (GAC) network’s Day Jobs program, featuring country music artist Joe Nichols. Day Jobs follows country music stars doing jobs they held before their music careers launched them to stardom. In this episode, Nichols spends one day at an OHL facility in Nashville as an entry-level Warehouse Operator.

The OHL staff worked quickly and professionally to pull together all of the required logistical components requested by the show’s production crew in less than one week’s time. OHL was approached by Day Job’s producers because of OHL’s depth of experience in warehousing and fulfillment. The prompt, coordinated efforts of the OHL team, under such tight, time-sensitive circumstances provide a significant indicator of OHL’s capabilities to “logistically” satisfy its regular customers in the daily course of its business.

“We were thrilled to be able to step up and help Day Job’s team tell Joe Nichols’ story,” said Phil Corwin, Vice President of Marketing for OHL. “We didn’t have a lot of time to pull it all together on our end; but making it work is the type of service commitment OHL makes and delivers every day to our customers. This was a fun and more unique opportunity to show how quickly we can do what we do.”

The Day Jobs segment featuring Nichols was taped Aug. 9 at one of OHL’s Nashville warehouse facilities. It airs Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on GAC.

In addition to utilizing an OHL facility and highlighting Nichols’ early employment experiences, two OHL associates, John Wine and Tom Reilly, are profiled as Nichols’ supervisor and a colleague.
