OOCL recognized for operational excellence by major US exporter

OOCL is pleased to announce that we have been recognized and awarded by one of our major customers in the United States, the Scoular Company, for our operational excellence in providing the best customer-centric services amongst all the other major carriers.

Scoular is one of the largest exporters of grain and agricultural products in the United States and OOCL was being honored with the ‘Award for Operational Excellence 2011’ based on our outstanding performance in the following key areas:

• Bill of Lading issuance, 
• Customer service and booking fulfillment, 
• Effective e-commerce tools, and
• Consignee satisfaction.

The award was presented to OOCL at an Agriculture Transportation Coalition workshop held in Minneapolis, USA, on December 12, 2011, by Mr. Doug Grennan, Senior Manager of Scoular Company’s International Container Trade Group.

On presenting the award to OOCL, Mr. Grennan said, “Based on all the criteria we used to evaluate the performance of the carriers, OOCL’s superior performance in all the areas has out-scored over 15 of its competitors under our evaluation. It is an honor to partner with OOCL and to present this award to recognize its operational excellence and effort to understand our business needs.”
