Pacer Announces Addition of Experienced Logistics Executive to Lead Asia and Europe International Operations
DUBLIN, Ohio, March 27, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) – Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PACR), the North American freight transportation and global logistics services provider, announced the addition of Al Benki as senior vice president, International Logistics – Asia and Europe Operations as Pacer continues the expansion of its international business units, Ocean World Lines, Inc. and RF International, Ltd.
Mr. Benki brings a proven track record and extensive experience in international transportation and logistics to Pacer. Mr. Benki’s broad based geographical and product experience will help enhance Pacer’s ability to grow its customer base in the Europe and Asia markets.
Most recently, Mr. Benki was the senior vice president, Global Ocean Freight for OHL International. He also served in the role of senior vice president, Hong Kong & South China where he was responsible for the profitability of the Hong Kong and South China regions as well as for operational and agency initiatives. Prior to his tenure with OHL, Al worked for Exel, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Fritz Companies and OOCL in various capacities in domestic and international (Asia, Latin America) leadership roles. Mr. Benki holds a bachelors degree from Iowa State University and also attended the Stanford Executive Program.
