Pacer Executive Appointment Intensifies Focus on International Growth
DUBLIN, Ohio, Oct. 20, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Pacer International, Inc., the North American freight transportation and logistics services provider, announced the appointment of Michael F. Killea as executive vice president, international logistics. Mr. Killea will report to Dan W. Avramovich, chairman and CEO, and will be responsible for Pacer’s International NVOCC and Freight Forwarding groups led by Alan Baer, and Pacer Distribution Services group led by Kent Prokop.
This change is a continuation of the transformation we are making at Pacer to fully integrate our global transportation and logistics operations. Pacer has a firm foundation in international transportation and value-added port services, and we plan to aggressively expand both our footprint and our capabilities in the international import and export services area. Since August 2001, Mr. Killea has served as executive vice president and general counsel for Pacer. Prior to joining the company, he was a partner at the law firms of Holland & Knight LLP and O'Sullivan Graev & Karabell LLP, where he served as legal counsel to Pacer. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from Washington & Lee University.
