PITT OHIO Wins Volvo Logistics Quality Award

Pittsburgh, PA (August 1, 2012) – PITT OHIO announced that they have won the Volvo Logistics Quality Award for 2010. The award was presented to PITT OHIO’s Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Geoff Muessig on July 9, 2012 from Volvo Logistics Director of Purchasing, Tim Kubiak.

There are nine main categories Volvo uses to evaluate carriers performance. Those categories are: Contracted Payment Terms, On-time Service Performance, Claims Ratio, Cargo Liability Coverage, EDI Invoicing Performance, Receivables, Financial Stability, Environment, and Safety. Volvo reviews these metrics with their carriers on a quarterly basis and there is an action plan for improvements at the end of every quarter. The award is given annually to the carrier who excels in these areas.
