Port of Hueneme Commissioner Named to High Post
PORT HUENEME, CA – Mary Anne Rooney, commissioner at the Port of Hueneme, has been named the third vice chair of the Association of Pacific Ports. As a result of this honor, the Port of Hueneme will host the APP annual conference in 2016.

Commissioner Rooney has been an active and valued Executive Committee member and will serve well as an APP Vice President, said Dave Hunt, Executive Director of APP.
The Association of Pacific Ports is a trade and information association founded for the purpose of promoting increased efficiency and effectiveness of the ports of the Pacific. Programs of the Association of Pacific Ports are aimed at enhancing the technical and governance expertise of commissioners and other port officials through meetings, educational seminars and the exchange of appropriate communications. These programs are also pertinent to the needs of ports’ management and technical staff.
The Port of Hueneme plays a vital role in the intermodal logistics supply chain and is critical to the economic health of Ventura County and the Southern California region. The Port supports the transport of over $7 billion in cargo and creates more than 1,500 jobs regionally. The Port is a special district governed by five elected Commissioners.
