Railinc to Participate in Car Hire Training at ASLRRA Convention

Cary, NC, April 17, 2012 (James Street Media Services)—Railinc has announced that it will participate in industry training on car hire at the 2012 annual convention of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association. The training is scheduled for Sunday, April 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“Car hire affects nearly everyone in the freight-rail industry,” said Railinc manager of car audit accounting Jim Pinson. “This training helps those who work with the applications to accurately and efficiently manage the car hire process.”

Participants will include Railinc managers; car hire experts from many railroads; car hire systems providers; and car management services providers who will cover a range of topics, including reporting and settlement of car hire and interchange reporting. Training will include overviews of selected Railinc applications that are used in the car hire process, such as the Liability Continuity System and the Damaged and Defective Car Tracking (DDCT) system.
