Ray McGuire Joins TBB Global Logistics as Vice President of Supply Chain Strategy

NEW FREEDOM, PA - TBB Global Logistics is pleased to announce the appointment of Ray McGuire to the position of Vice President of Supply Chain Strategy. In this role, McGuire is responsible for working with corporate clients to align their business goals and objectives with appropriate supply chain solutions to increase the overall efficiency of their operations. He also manages the company’s International Operations Division, including air and ocean import and export, customs and other governmental agency compliance and foreign triangular trade contracts.

“The TBB Global Logistics’ philosophy focuses on serving small and medium sized enterprises; providing the specific tools and guidance they need to succeed,” McGuire said. “Aligning a client’s supply chain strategies, business goals and objectives, and their customer expectations, is the true basis for optimal operational efficiency and lowest total cost of ownership.”

Prior to joining TBB Global Logistics, McGuire served as the Director of Global Trade Compliance and Operations for Celanese International Corporation in Dallas, Texas. There, he created a 28-person import / export trade compliance team with associates world-wide; overseeing Customs and other governmental trade compliance such as drug precursor controls, dual-use technology licensing, and preferential trade agreements in Asia, Europe and the Americas, and implemented company-wide support systems. Earlier in his career, McGuire was an independent logistics strategy consultant after serving in leadership roles for numerous “shippers” such as Kellwood New England, Saks Fifth Avenue, The Sharper Image and Jefferson Smurfit Corporation (now Smurfit-Stone), as well as international logistics management providers including Panalpina, V. Alexander & Co, Hill & Delamain International, Schlensker Immobilien und Umzugservice GmbH, to name a few.

McGuire has expert knowledge and experience in global import and export operations standards, foreign and domestic transportation management, supply chain performance analysis, international supply chain security programs including FDA bio-terrorism, C-TPAT, Importer Security Filing, TSA and their foreign counterparts, as well as quality management and process control. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and speaks fluent German, as well as some French and Spanish.
