Issaquah, WA – July 2, 2012 -- Red Arrow Logistics, a logistics and transportation company serving fast growing, complex and high value supply chains, will join Governor Chris Gregoire’s mission to bring Washington State aerospace, green energy and technology leaders to England, Ireland and the Farnborough Air Show July 4 - 12, 2012.

After meetings in Ireland, Gregoire and the delegation will travel to London, where on July 9th, she and the delegation will open the Washington State Pavilion at the 2012 Farnborough Air Show, one of the largest global aerospace events of its kind. Liz Lasater, CEO of Red Arrow Logistics, will participate in matchmaking meetings with potential partners from Europe arranged by the Washington State Department of Commerce (Commerce), and have the opportunity to promote the company’s services. Red Arrow’s participation is supported in part by the SBA’s State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) program, which is administered in Washington State by Commerce to help grow exports and create new jobs for Washingtonians.

We appreciate the opportunity to participate in Governor Gregoire’s trade mission and for the opportunity to engage with global companies who depend on services that we provide to support high value, time sensitive and regulated needs of the supply chains in these important industries,” said Lasater.

Outside of the U.S., having the support of top government officials is a requirement to initiate new business relationships,” she added. “And the Governor’s leadership is an important catalyst to creating new opportunities for our state.” Lasater, who was named by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as Exporter of the Year for 2012, sees the aerospace industry as a vital link to the state's economy, international trade and her company.

Gregoire’s trade mission is part of a State Export Initiative that she launched in 2010 that has already resulted in a record for exports of Washington-made goods of $64.6 billion in 2011. “The dynamic innovators that comprise Washington’s aerospace supply chain have helped drive our state’s impressive expansion in global trade,” said Governor Gregoire. “Businesses around the world are more aware than ever of our standards for productivity, reliability, quality and training—a reputation that helps create sustained job growth for our state.”
