Reddaway Receives Safety Honors from California Trucking Association

TUALATIN, Ore. — The California Trucking Association (CTA) has recognized Reddaway with two of its annual Fleet Safety Awards. Reddaway was the proud recipient of the first place trophy in the LTL/General Commodities--Local/Short Haul Over 4 Million Miles category as well as the second place trophy in the LTL/General Commodities--Linehaul Over 7 Million Miles category.

The awards were presented to Reddaway officers at the Annual CTA Fleet Safety Awards Banquet held at the Sheraton Grand of Sacramento on Thursday, April 4, 2013. This marks the third year-in-a-row that Reddaway has received Fleet Safety Awards from the California Trucking Association. In 2012, Reddaway was awarded the second place trophy in the LTL/General Commodities--Linehaul Over 7 Million Miles category, as well as the Charlie Giles Memorial Award for Most Improved Fleet in 2012.

The CTA evaluated the safety performances in 2012 of over 50 California carriers. Winning contestants were selected based upon a number of safety measures and practices. An independent panel of judges chosen from government agencies reviewed companies based upon criteria such as documented safety programs and procedures, training, driver supervision, preventive maintenance, and overall record of accident reduction.

“Our ability to remain leaders in safety depends upon everyone at Reddaway giving it his/her all every day,” said Dave Yonomoto, Reddaway Director of Safety. “It is thanks to the hard work of our safety-dedicated employees that we are able to win awards like these, and we are incredibly grateful for their commitment. We would also like to thank the California Trucking Association for their recognition over the years and for our continued partnership in safety.”
