Richard Morsches Named TranSystems’ Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer
Kansas City, MO – TranSystems, a professional services consulting firm focused on the secure and efficient movement of goods and people, has announced that Richard Morsches, P.E., has been appointed Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for the company.
“Rick has been instrumental in helping transform TranSystems from a $20 million firm located in six Midwest cities to a $240 million multimodal firm located in 40 cities through the United States,” said Brian Larson, TranSystems’ CEO.
Prior to becoming CSMO, Morsches held roles of increasing importance including: Principal/Vice President in charge of transportation projects in Chicago; Regional Vice President of TranSystems’ Northeast and Great Lakes regions; and Market Sector Leader for the States and Municipalities group. He also serves a member of the Board of Directors. He retains the two latter roles.

Morsches has been personally involved in starting up six new TranSystems offices and coordinating nine businesses mergers. He has worked as part of the senior management team in operating the firm profitably over the past 20 years.
He has extensive expertise in all aspects of projects spanning all modes of transportation including highways, transit systems, passenger rail, freight, parking facilities, bikeways and pedestrian facilities. Morsches has managed projects for all levels of government including federal, state, city and county.
Morsches holds an M.B.A from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Dayton. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. He will continue to reside in Chicago, Ill.
