Arlington, VA – The Retail Industry Leaders Association announced today the creation of a select group of retail executives to form the RILA Asset Protection Leaders Council (APLC).

Chairing the APLC will be Mike Lamb, Vice President of Asset Protection for The Home Depot, and the council's Vice Chair will be Monica Mullins, Vice President of Asset Protection & Safety at Walmart.

The APLC will consist of senior level retail Loss Prevention executives and will provide a forum for the exchange of critical information and ideas and the pursuit of positive change for the industry-at-large.

We are really excited about introducing this council and we are thrilled that Mike and Monica will be leading this elite group of senior executives, said Lisa LaBruno, VP of loss prevention and legal affairs. Through the collaboration of this group, we have a great opportunity to tackle the challenges facing the industry as well as capitalize on the opportunities before us.

Asset protection/loss prevention executives participating on RILA's councils and committees benefit from:

  • Building relationships with other leaders of the industry.
  • Forums where members can discuss operational practices and concerns, and pragmatic solutions to challenges.
  • The opportunity to identify the financial and operational challenges posed by legislation and regulation, and to integrate these realities with public policy to effect change.
