Robert Gibbs to Speak at 109th Annual Dinner of The Traffic Club of Pittsburgh

Robert Gibbs, former Press Secretary for President Barack Obama, will be the Speaker at the 109th Annual Dinner of The Traffic Club of Pittsburgh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at The Omni William Penn Hotel, Pittsburgh, PA.

Mr. Gibbs is a longtime advisor to President Obama, and he was Communications Director for Obama's 2008 Presidential Campaign and his 2004 Senate Campaign. He will be involved in the President's 2012 reelection campaign.

As an integral part of the Obama team for many years, Mr. Gibbs has advised Barack Obama on politics, strategy and messaging. According to THE NEW YORK TIMES, Mr. Gibbs has spent more time with the President than any other advisor.

Robert Gibbs also served as Press Secretary for John Kerry's 2004 Presidential campaign. He previously specialized in Senate campaigns, having served as communications director for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and for four individual Senate Campaigns, including those of Obama in 2004 and Fritz Hollings in 1998. Gibbs was also Press Secretary for Representative Bob Etheridge.
