Saddle Creek Logistics Services Redefines Positions in Marketing and Business Development
Lakeland, Fla., July 31, 2012 - Saddle Creek Logistics Services announced today a change in its executive management team. Duane Sizemore will become senior vice president, marketing and business development, effective Aug. 1, 2012.
Sizemore will be responsible for helping Saddle Creek to continue its solid year-over-year growth through new customer relationships, organic growth with existing accounts, and strategic business expansion.
“We’re pleased to welcome Duane to our management team,” said Cliff Otto, Saddle Creek president. “With his wealth of experience and understanding of customer needs in key vertical markets, Duane will play an instrumental role in our continued growth at Saddle Creek.”
Prior to joining Saddle Creek, Sizemore served as vice president, business development, for Ryder’s consumer packaged goods (CPG) vertical division. He brings more than 25 years of experience in senior operations and business development roles in logistics, with such companies as Total Logistics Control, UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Baxter Healthcare, Frito-Lay and Georgia-Pacific.
Sizemore holds a Bachelor of Science degree in transportation from Indiana University. He is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the Warehousing Education Research Council (WERC) and has served on Rutgers University’s board for its supply chain academic program.
Sizemore assumes many of the responsibilities of Stephen Cook, Saddle Creek’s long-time head of marketing and business development. Cook will become vice president, strategic development, based in St. Augustine, Fla.
“Steve has played a critical role in helping to establish Saddle Creek as an industry leader in integrated logistics,” said Otto. “We’re pleased that he will continue to share his extensive expertise and experience with Saddle Creek and its customers in this new position.”
