SC Chong appointed as MD for TNT Malaysia & Brunei

Kuala Lumpur, October 4 2011: TNT Express, a leading provider of integrated express delivery and freight services between Europe and Asia has appointed Mr. Chong Siang Chung as the Managing Director of TNT Malaysia & Brunei with immediate effect. Based in Petaling Jaya, he manages over 600 employees and is responsible for overall TNT operations in Malaysia & Brunei. Notably, he is the first Malaysian to be internally appointed as TNT Managing Director since the establishment of TNT Malaysia in 1976.

Mr. Chong, who is more fondly known as SC in the industry, joined TNT Malaysia in 2003 as Sales & Marketing Director. During his tenure as Sales & Marketing Director, SC has led the company to achieve strong double digit revenue growth year after year, making TNT Malaysia one of the fastest growing business unit in the Asia region. SC has also been instrumental in leading TNT to win the Best Brand in Logistics Solutions Provider Category for Brand Laureate Award 2008 and 2010, and two Asia Direct Marketing 360 Awards in 2009.

SC holds a Degree in Science majoring in Biochemistry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and an MBA from University of Dubuque, USA. He later received his Postgraduate Award in Management and Business Studies from Warwick Business School, UK in 2009.
