SDV Wins Global Freight Forwarder of the Year at Air Cargo News Awards
Crowning a year of exceptional performance, SDV receives a major honor at the prestigious Air Cargo News Awards.
Every year, industry publication Air Cargo News holds a glittering event in London – the Cargo Airline of the Year Awards. The ceremony, held at the Lancaster London Hotel on April 28th, was attended by the leading players of the air cargo industry and this year totaled 550 guests.
For the last five years, Air Cargo News has included the category of ‘Global Freight Forwarder of the Year’, sponsored by Virgin Atlantic Cargo. For the first time, SDV was victorious in winning this coveted title.
Award host, broadcaster and former MP (Member of Parliament) Gyles Brandreth, introduced SDV’s win, stating: ‘The global airfreight forwarder award is presented to the logistics company that has consistently demonstrated best practice with a proven portfolio established over many years. This company truly focuses on quality over quantity.’
Claude Picciotto, SDV’s Airfreight Purchasing Director, was delighted to collect the award on behalf of SDV from Nick Jones, Vice President EMEA Sales of Virgin Atlantic Cargo.
