Shipco Transport will start a direct neutral LCL service from Atlanta, Georgia to Gothenburg, Sweden. The new service, with carrier OOCL, will greatly improve transit times from South Atlantic, US Gulf and Los Angeles origins. The biggest transit time improvements will be from Atlanta, now 21 days transit, and Houston with 22 days transit. Transit time from Los Angeles will also improve with 24 days total transit time.

This new service is the natural expansion of our already extensive service package to the Nordic countries, a package that is already the broadest in the market today, commented Carsten Hansen, European Route Development Manager. The neutral NVO plans to further its direct service portfolio based on customer need and invest in growing markets.

“This exciting new direct service is the twelfth launched in 2012 so far, making our total direct LCL Export service portfolio 232,” added Niels Nielsen, VP LCL Export USA. “We are on track to reach our goals for new service development in 2012, which is designed to bring value to our customers through shorter transit time and reliable service.”
