Southeastern Freight Lines and Partners Cover the Nation in Regional NASSTRAC Awards

LEXINGTON, S.C. (JUNE 8, 2009) – Southeastern Freight Lines, a leading provider of less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services, and three of its partners earned recognition for service across the nation in the National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council’s (NASSTRAC) 2009 Carrier of the Year Awards.

The annual awards program recognizes transportation providers for customer service, operational excellence, pricing, business relationship, and leadership and technology. This is Southeastern’s eighth NASSTRAC Carrier of the Year award.

Southeastern Freight Lines received the award in the Regional-Southeast category and its partners won in their regional categories: A. Duie Pyle (Northeast), Dayton Freight Lines (Midwest) and Oak Harbor Freight Lines (West).

“The NASSTRAC award has been encouraging the high performance of carriers for years,” said Eric Morley, director of logistics for Best Buy Company and NASSTRAC’s current president. “NASSTRAC leverages this annual awards program to continually promote performance excellence in various market segments of transportation.”

To ensure excellent transportation outside of its core territory, Southeastern Freight Lines uses a network of service providers. By joining next day regional specialists with expedited team service and direct loading, Southeastern’s national partnership consistently produces transit times that are faster than most inter-regional and trans-continental carriers.

We are honored to again be recognized by NASSTRAC as the Southeast region’s Carrier of the Year. Also adding to the excitement is the fact that three of our partner carriers won in their regions,” said Jamie Long, Southeastern Freight Line’s national partnership manager. “This recognition validates that we are partnering with our nation’s most effective regional carriers. Our partner alliances give us the ability to provide ‘best in class’ transit times with seamless technology throughout the United States.

Other members of the Southeastern network include Midwest Motor Express, Quik X Transportation and Central Arizona Freight.
