Standard Forwarding Company Earns John Deere’s Logistics Supplier Of The Year

EAST MOLINE, Illinois (February 2, 2008) – East Moline, IL – Standard Forwarding Company has earned recognition as the 2008 Logistics Supplier of the Year as well as its third consecutive Partner-level designation in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. The Partner-level status is John Deere’s highest supplier rating and only those suppliers with such designation qualify for Supplier of the Year consideration.

Standard Forwarding is a supplier of LTL freight transportation to John Deere’s manufacturing facilities in the Midwest and has been providing services to John Deere for 75 uninterrupted years.

Standard Forwarding was selected for the honors in recognition of its dedication to service of outstanding quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement. Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.

Company employees accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held on February 17th in Moline, IL.
